Welcome to Sunscreen Safety Testing Laboratory, a fully FDA-accredited (pending with A2LA Assessment Accreditation Service) sunscreen testing laboratory specializing in comprehensive analysis of sunscreen products containing Antaria Pty. Ltd.'s ZinClear XP Zinc Oxide and/or Zinc Dispersions.

In-Vitro and In-Vivo Testing Services

Our laboratory offers both In-Vitro and In-Vivo testing services for sunscreen products, adhering to established methodologies and standards such as FDA2011, ISO24444:2020, ISO24443:2021, Japan Star Rating, Boots 2008, FDA Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, ISO18861 & 16217, and ISO24442.

We employ cutting-edge equipment like the Model SPF-290AS Automated UV Transmittance/SPF Analyzer, 4" (10cm) 100W Pre-Irradiation Solar Simulator Kit Model LS1000-4S-009, and Model 601 Multiport SPF Testing 6 Output Solar Simulator to ensure accurate and reliable results.

Dr Philip Marshall
Dr Philip A Marshall (FRACI, CChem)

Dr. Philip Marshall (FRACI, CChem) brings an impressive background to our team with over 40 years of international and domestic experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. His extensive expertise spans drug design and discovery, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, formulation design and development, quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance, and scientific and medical affairs. Dr. Marshall has served as an Expert Witness in numerous legal and patent matters both in Australia and internationally. As a prolific innovator, he is a co-inventor on several granted international patents in the areas of composition-of-matter, process, and formulation for pharmaceuticals. His wealth of knowledge strengthens our commitment to delivering exceptional sunscreen testing services at Sunscreen Safety Testing Laboratory.

Dr Nasrin G. Eskandar
Dr. Nasrin G. Eskandar (PhD, PharmD) 

Dr. Nasrin G. Eskandar (PhD, PharmD) serves as the Laboratory Manager at Sunscreen Safety Testing Laboratory, where she leads a team of 10 dedicated laboratory technicians. Dr. Eskandar is an experienced pharmacist with a demonstrated history of working in the pharmaceutical industry. Her expertise encompasses pharmaceutics, research, formulation, and compounding. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nanotechnology from the University of South Australia.

In her co-current role as a Quality Assurance Associate at Advance Zinctek Ltd, Dr. Eskandar continues to ensure compliance with quality systems, including those established by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Geoff Acton Advance ZincTek
Geoff Acton (Company Secretary)

Geoff Acton, a dedicated and experienced professional, serves as the Director of Sunscreen Safety Testing Laboratory. After taking over Advance ZincTek in March 2016, Geoff developed a passion for promoting the use of zinc-based sunscreens to reduce skin cancer rates in Australia. Driven by his personal experience with 32 skin cancer procedures since 2005, Geoff's commitment to zinc-based sunscreens is not just about business, it's personal. He also advocates for these sunscreens due to their environmental safety compared to chemical-based alternatives.

Geoff's experience spans various roles in multiple companies, including Managing Director at Advance ZincTek, Company Secretary at Senterprisys Limited, Director at Renewable Energy Certificate Trading, and CFO/Company Secretary at Tamawood Limited (Dixon Homes).

Geoff holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Queensland, completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors program in 2000, and obtained his Chartered Accountant certification from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 1995. His diverse experience and unwavering commitment to promoting zinc-based sunscreens and their benefits contribute to the success and mission of Sunscreen Safety Testing Laboratory.

Rade Dudurovic
Rade Dudurovic (Director)

Rade Dudurovic, currently serving as a Director at both Advance Zinctek Limited and Sunscreen Safety Testing Laboratory, brings over a decade of invaluable experience in the sunscreen industry to his role. Since joining Advance Zinctek in 2011, Rade has played a crucial part in the company's growth and success, particularly in the development and manufacturing of ZinClear XP Zinc Oxide and Zinc Dispersions.

Rade's professional journey includes his tenure as Business Technology Specialist at FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia, where he focused on enhancing organizational performance through digital transformation initiatives. As an Investment Director at PREMA Capital, Rade managed investments across various industry sectors, showcasing his adaptability and strategic thinking. Rade holds a Master of Financial Management, Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honors, and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with Honors from the University of Queensland. He is a Certified Practicing Accountant with CPA Australia and a Senior Fellow of FINSIA. Rade's diverse expertise and commitment to excellence have made him an invaluable asset to the Sunscreen Safety Testing Laboratory team.
